日本の風物詩として古くから文学や詩歌に登場する蟷螂(とうろう=かまきり)や
蜻蛉(せいれい=とんぼ)などを、秋草と共に透かし彫りし金銀布目象嵌を施した晩夏初秋を
味わえる入念作。江戸時代中期。保存鑑定書付。

Seasonable insects such as a mantis and a dragonfly and so on, are often depicted
in literature and poem from old times as a seasonable motif, and give us an impression
of late summer and early autumn. It is attributed to a metal worker in Bu-shu
(=Musahi province, around Tokyo and Saitama area.). 18c. With a suitable wood box
and Hozon certificate paper.

2)菊透図 銘 因州住駿河作

9月9日は五節句の一つ重陽(菊)の節句で、不老長寿の菊を浮かべた菊酒を飲んで詩を詠み
長寿を願う宮中行事。甲冑師出身の駿河派は、池田家が駿河から三河、備前を経て、因幡(因
州)へ移動したのに従い、3代から6代頃までは因州住駿河作と銘を切り、連綿と活躍したと云う。
江戸時代中期。特別保存鑑定書付。

In a traditional festival (Choyo-no-Sekku) on 9th September, we compose poetry and drink a
Sake that chrysanthemum, a symbol of long-life leaves is floating on its surface for wishing
eternal youth. Suruga School which is an originally armor maker, worked for the Ikeda clan
for generations, and moved from Suruga(Shizuoka) to Inaba (Tottori ) via Bizen (Okayama)
with relocation of their lord. 18c. With a suitable wood box and Tokubetsu Hozon certificate
paper.

3)鐔 秋草に虫図 加賀象嵌 (無銘)

3) 寸法:縦57.0×横53.0×厚さ4.0 (mm)
細く美しい加賀平象嵌が上品に施され、余白で広がりを設けた四分一磨地の作。
前田家の庇護で繁栄した加賀金工による、秋の情景味わえる優品。江戸時代中期。
保存鑑定書付。

Spatial expanse is created by composition of leaving a space, and autumn insects and
plant are depicted by fine gold flat inlay technique of a Kaga artisan on Shibuichi
(alloy of silver and copper etc.) ground.
The Kaga artisans prospered under the patronage of powerful feudal lord, Maeda clan
in Kaga, now Ishikawa prefecture. Hozon certificate paper. 18c.

秋草を愛でる気持ちは古来より深く、特に美濃金工に好んで用いられ多くの名品を残している。
美濃彫りの技術が用いられ、格調高くその作柄は広く愛好されている。江戸時代前期-中期。

Japanese people have been enjoyed the beauty of autumn flowers since old time.
It seems a traditional work of Mino school which was active in present Gifu prefecture.
It is especially good at describing the autumn scene such a fine work. 17-18c.
